Longtime readers of the blog have suffered through my obsession with Fletcher Hanks and his surreal/beautiful comics artwork from the early 1940's. Last year a compilation of Hanks' comic work was released, "I Shall Destroy All The Civilized Planets", which featured a biographic vignette involving the artist's son, Fletcher Hanks Jr. Hanks Junior was an astonishing man in his own right, making his obituary worth reading just to get acquainted...
